Ms. Goro Grace is the current FEAT Africa Chairperson to the Board of Directors, she joined FEAT Africa in October 2018 and voluntarily assume the position of vice-chairperson to the FEAT Africa Board of Directors.
a female Ugandan age 45 years old, holding a bachelor’s degree in Education from Makerere University. Goro has vast experience in different fields of leadership with civil society organizations, the teaching profession, and politics. Prior to joining FEAT Africa in 2018, she served as Vice-chairperson, secretary of health and education, secretary of community service, and chairperson of health and education in Koboko district Uganda. She oversees lower local government and provided mentorship to their councils and monitoring. Goro equally coordinated road construction projects under Family Health International and served as chairperson for the Koboko women caucus.
Goro is a sociable, enthusiastic, self-initiated, and result-oriented person. She has a passion for women and children empowerment and for improving people’s lives.
Loguya Matthew is on a Godly call on the mission and Safe Water offering field to the unreached societies in East Africa. He is a self-driven and motivated leader. With over ten years of experience, Loguya has a proven record of implementing practical ways for Ministry and water programs that offers holistic transformations to disadvantageous societies in the region.
Loguya’s proficiency to connect conventionally unrelated ideas and build meaningful relationships between communities, empower individuals to provide sustainable services for their communities. Loguya’s ability to communicate with all stakeholders engages the entire team and drives sustainability projects to completion.
Loguya envisions Feat Africa as Bring Safe Water to the unreached societies and he is excited to lead Feat Africa into its succeeding phase of impact and development. Prior to founding FEAT Africa and serving as the Executive Director, Loguya served as a Project technician, Project Supervisor, Project Manager at Revival Water project, and Sanitation Coordinator at 4Africa a mission water well drilling company for 5 years as well as individual projects.
Loguya holds a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration from the Team University (TU) of Kampala and a Diploma in Project Planning and Management from the Africa Population Institute (API).
Mr. Fred Taban has been a FEAT Africa director since October 2018, In October 2018, he joined FEAT Africa Board as a Public Relations officer.
Prior to joining FEAT Africa in October 2018, Mr. Fred Taban served as the operations officer of CRESS/ECS/DOL South Sudan and Executive Director of KADRA ECS/DOKK in Sudan. During his 36 years career, He served in numerous operations, business, and development roles, including college tutor, School inspector DED, Social worker URC/IFRC, Refugee Repatriation officer, and coffee extension officer ERAP.
Fred is a self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking personality with high integrity and professionalism, he brings along Holistic transformation experiences from different ministries he served. He is a graduate of the All-Nation Christian University in the United Kingdom with a Degree in Mission and Development.
Mika Edward holds a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from Fort Portal National Institute of Health Science Uganda, a Certificate in Epidemiology and global immunization from CDC- Affiliated with Atlanta University, a Certificate in Leadership and Management from AMREF International in Nairobi Kenya, and a certificate in HIV/AIDS in Jinja and Masaka.
Prior to Joining Feat Africa in Oct 2018 as a board member and was later selected by the board to be the Treasurer of FA Board to date. Mika Edward has worked for over 20 years in the health systems and has been blessed with a variety of experiences. He worked as the County Health Officer for 7 years in Kajo-Keji County, South Sudan after serving in the hospital with MSF-CH for 8 years and also worked as a clinical instructor/Tutor in KKHTI for 5 years. Currently; Edward is serving as Health Coordinator with the Diocese of Liwolo supported by CRESS-UK.
Jurua holds a Bachelor degree in Public Health/Environmental Health Science from Cavendish University in Uganda (CUU), Post Graduate Diploma in Health service management from Islamic University in Uganda, Diploma in Environmental Health Science from Makerere University, Certificate in Governance Leadership and Management (GLM) METs- Makerere University and Certificate in Administrative Law from Uganda Christian University.
Jurua has over 12 years of hands-on working experience in Education, Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene, Health Promotion, Nutrition, and Food Security, with proven experience in Project Planning and Management.
He has proven experience in Epidemiological Disease Surveillance under the Global Health Security Agenda with emphasis on “ONE HEALTH”. In the Education sector, he served as an instructor/ tutor in Arua Nurses and Midwives Training school.
Jurua has spearheaded projects under Global Sanitation Fund in Koboko District of the West Nile region in Uganda. He also coordinated an Institutional Capacity Building Project (ICBP) aimed at building the capacity of the Healthcare workforce for Health Systems Strengthening in West Nile Uganda. He is an entrepreneur with various portfolios of social and economic initiatives.
Member of the Board of Directors for Feat Africa (FA) which is a Non-Governmental Organization working in Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Sudan under various thematic areas. Jurua is a former member of the then Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC).
