Our Stories

Apeta Gloria is 12 years old girl who lives in Dukii village and goes to Kuru spring for their water at home. Apeta said; In our village, girls are responsible for fetching water for the family. In the morning I have to fetch 40 liters before going to school, after school I then fetch 60 liters every day. Now I am happy with the construction of the spring because I am now spending 2 minutes to fill my 20-liter jerrycan instead of 35 minutes that I spend while the spring was not constructed.
