Ministry Club in our setting is referred to a group of children who meet for Evangelism activities. Knowledge apart from application fall short of God’s desire for His children. Knowledge must result in change and growth. Consequently, we have constructed this Ministry Club with the purpose in mind;
It has been clear to parents on the context of bringing up a child in the loveliness of God. Train a child in the way he should go, even when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverb 22:6)
What we want from these children is reliable, useful and trustworthy principles directions that works for the future where these children live. Our great goal is to launch into the society secure, mature, confidential and capable young adults who can handle the pressure thrown at them in the demanding arena of life to come.
Our leading source of information in this Ministry Club come from the God who originated the whole idea of home and family behaviors. God is the one who brought the parents and children together and he will provide us with the daily wisdom to model several children successfully.
Have your children heard of how God made a path through the water for the Israelites, of the boy David and the giant Goliath and of how Jesus love the children? In easy to understand words, we use favorites stories from the bible that help delight millions of children around the world.
Young children who cannot read the bible will love to look at the colorful, descriptive pictures. After each story, there will be few questions to encourage discussion and help children remember the stories. Example; God’s wonderful creation, Adam and Eve, the burning bush, Abraham and Lot and many more stories
Training up a child, remember, suggest two things according to the use of Hebrews words. It conveys the idea of taming a lion that is wild and it also indicate developing a taste for something good and nourishing. When we train children, we initiate techniques that brings about submissive will. We also discover ways to develop our children taste so that they delight in things that are right. None of this is naturally known by the child. When these is done correctly, God promises that even when our children reach maturity, that dramatic age of independence, they won’t turn away from the training they have received. Example; a lesson from the book of 1 Samuel 2:11-3:13; Where Eli failed to tamed his sons and develop in them a taste for the ways of God.
From Eden to the end times, the world has been and will be in revolt, against God. This is the world in which you and I must live and raise our children. If we are not actively helping to mold our children into the image of Jesus Christ, be assured that they will be molded into the image of this world (Romans 12:2). The world image is reflected in the deeds of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-20). When a child is Standing high and joyful, should rest in the image of Christ reflected in the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). We have these questions for you as parents;
